The HI774 model measures phosphate in seawater in a range from 0.00 to 0.90 ppm. Phosphate is an important parameter in the aquarium hobby. Excessive phosphate levels lead to extensive algae growth and reduce the oxygen content, which can be dangerous for fish and other aquatic life.
